1. The Mitre Hampton Court
Teaming a beautiful riverside wedding venue with a hotel that simply has the coolest, whimsical yet elegant interiors, The Mitre in Hampton Court is a tough one to beat when it comes to intimate wedding spots in London. Steeped in history and character and located right next to Hampton Court Palace, you can host up to 70 of your guests in their Orangery, with the ability to have a further 50 join for the evening party. For the ultimate in luxury, why not arrive by boat to their private mooring and host all your guests within the sumptuous accommodation they have to offer.

2. One Moorgate Place
Located in the heart of the city, One Moorgate Place is a picturesque Grade II listed building that is also the home of the Chartered Accountants’ Hall, with a long history dating back to 1893. Complete with beautiful columns and domed ceilings that let the sun shine through the stained glass windows, it is a historic venue updated with modern amenities. The venue can host up to 60 of your guests within their Main Reception Room, which features glimmering chandeliers, striking murals and breathtaking decor.

3. The Zetter Clerkenwell
A Georgian townhouse with heaps of character tucked away in the heart of East London, The Zetter Clerkenwell is a stylish and historic wedding venue. Filled with antiques, collectables, quirky taxidermy and unique charm, the venue can host both ceremonies and receptions across their event spaces. Celebrate an intimate soirée for up to 14 guests in their Dining Room surrounded by artwork, or with up to 36 in their Games Room. For larger weddings, you can take over the full venue and host up to 120 guests. They also have 13 bespoke guest bedrooms available, so you can have all your nearest and dearest staying close by.

4. Burgh House and Hampstead Museum
Located down a quaint cobblestoned street, you’ll find the pretty Burgh House and Hampstead Museum, a gorgeous Grade I listed stately home built in 1704. Covered in vibrant wisteria in the summer months, the venue has 3 different rooms to choose from for the ceremony and the reception and can host 70 guests for a ceremony and 62 for a sit down meal.

5. Clissold House
A beautifully restored and recently refurbished 18th century mansion house, Clissold House is located near Hackney in East London. Featuring large ornate windows, the space is flooded with natural light and has wonderful views across the park along with lots of lovely original features, including a marble fireplace and spiral staircase.

6. The Hari
Tucked away in the heart of Belgravia, The Hari combines comfort and understated elegance, to create a luxurious home away from home. Situated in a premium vantage point that borders areas of Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge, you can host up to 25 guests on their Garden Terrace. Combining living walls with a retractable roof, it is an ideal spot for weddings all year round.

7. Petersham Nurseries
A well loved spot in Richmond, Petersham Nurseries is known for its stunning verdant glass greenhouses, that are surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. Available for exclusive hire, they have a variety of different greenhouses to choose from that suit different sized weddings, each with their own special variety of plants growing within.

8. The Rosewood
A glorious hotel located in the heart of Holborn, The Rosewood is a timeless heritage building with luxury contemporary interiors nestled inside. Filled with romance and splendour, this Grade II listed Edwardian building has a wonderful approach, set back from the hustle and bustle with its own large private courtyard. Their Grand Ballroom is their main event space for larger weddings, but for more intimate weddings their Foyer can host up to 70 guests for dinner or their Dining Room for up to 18 guests, which includes a show kitchen to create a homely and interactive feel.

9. Brunswick House
An 18th century, Grade II listed Georgian mansion located close to Asylum Chapel, Fitzrovia Chapel, Chelsea Old Town Hall, Wandsworth Town Hall and The Old Marylebone Town Hall, the beautiful Brunswick House is the perfect location for a reception after a town hall wedding. Antique filled rooms are set across three floors and the venue has the ability to seat up to 112 guests. Plus it has a fun Cellar Room for your evening afterparty, along with a private terrace and garden. The venue is also home to a critically-acclaimed produce-led British restaurant and bar, so you can expect delicious food to be served along with an interesting wine list too.

10. Hollywood Arms
A pub, bar and restaurant located in the heart of Chelsea and just a short walk from the King’s Road, the Hollywood Arms has a sumptuously decorated private room that is perfect for intimate wedding dinners or drinks receptions. With its own fully stocked bar, the space can seat up to 60 guests and is filled with natural light.

11. The Swan at The Shakespeare Globe
Positioned in an iconic location next door to The Shakespeare Globe with memorable views of the River Thames and St Paul’s Cathedral beyond, The Swan is a romantic spot for a wedding celebration. Their Balcony Room can seat up to 70 guests for both a ceremony and reception, and is a lovely, elegant light-filled room which benefits from the aforementioned views. If you decide to have a larger wedding, then their dramatic Underglobe seats 100 guests, and is positioned right under the Globe Theatre, with full sized model oak trees and a sweeping staircase, evoking a whimsical and Shakespearian feel.

12. The Italian Greyhound
Inspired by the chic yet casual ‘bacaros’ of Italy, The Italian Greyhound brings a lovely relaxed yet timeless feel to a cool city wedding. Nestled in the heart of Marylebone on Seymour Place, the atmosphere, food and service is easy-going yet refined. They have a completely private, bright and airy basement level that is exclusively yours for the entirety of the event. With the ability to seat up to 50 guests or 100 standing, it has it’s own cocktail bar, private WC facilities and beautiful French doors opening onto a basement garden. Dine on delicious ‘family style’ feasting menus that are designed to be shared, paired with interesting wines and cocktails.

13. Frederick’s
An Islington institution run by the Segal Family, Fredrick’s is a cool, laidback location for a wedding reception. A relaxed contemporary restaurant serving modern European, it is located just a short walk from the Town Hall and has a long history of hosting weddings. For wedding receptions of up to 40 guests seated they have The Club Room which comes with it’s own private bar, terrace and garden views or for more intimate dinners, their classic Clarence Room can seat up to 20 guests. The main restaurant can be entirely hired out on certain days, with the ability to seat up to 120 guests or host a drinks and canapés reception for up to 220 guests.
