Nestled within 10 acres of walled gardens and private woodlands, it feels like having your favourite hotel all to yourself. Get ready in their pretty dressing room in the morning before celebrating your wedding within their many beautiful spaces both inside out. 2. Henge Estate

An elegant, private and historic wedding venue, Henge Estate feels quintessentially English surrounded by beautiful countryside, with a walled garden and swimming pool in the grounds. Located close to churches, the venue can host small weddings of up to 24 guests in the Dining Room, or for up to 200 in a marquee in the grounds. It can also sleep the bridal party of up to 24 guests in the main house.

3. Syrencot

A Grade II listed Georgian manor house built in 1738 and more recently restored in 2018, the pretty Syrencot is made up of the main house and a contemporary barn, and is available exclusively for weddings of up to 150 guests. The venue has 13 bedrooms too, a lovely glasshouse ceremony room and picturesque walled gardens.

A serene and refined wedding venue known for its charming event spaces including its light filled orangery pictured below, the Georgian manor house of St Audries Park can host up to 250 of your guests. Located not far from Bristol, it’s a peaceful and pretty spot to get married.

8. Widbrooke Grange Hotel

A beautiful and relaxed countryside wedding venue with pretty roaming gardens, you can say your vows in their rustic converted barn or in their romantic gardens surrounding the main farmhouse. Host your wedding reception for up to 60 seated within the house or in their 11 acres of blooming gardens. Located in the Cotswolds, just a short distance from Bristol and Bath, Grittleton House is an exclusive, privately owned country house with 35 acres of gardens and grounds. Your guests will approach the beautiful venue via a sweeping tree lined drive and be greeted by historic and gothic architecture, which hold decorative ceilings and cosy open fires within. The venue can host between 50 and 400 guests and has an impressive amount of accommodation that can sleep 90 guests.

A well-loved wedding venue, Larmer Tree is a pretty 11 acre Victorian Pleasure garden created in 1880 by General Pitt Rivers and is a beautiful example of Victorian extravagance. Host your wedding outside amongst all the unique and ornate buildings and statues, followed by a reception within their bright and airy dining room with up to 150 of your guests.

A charming Georgian hotel with a contemporary edge, The Rectory feels like a lovely, elegant ‘home away from home’ with a beautiful English garden. Perfect for a smaller wedding, the venue can also sleep you and your guests across their 18 bedrooms in the hotel and in their 3 bedroom cottage. Plus, the day after the wedding we highly recommend enjoying a dip in the swimming pool followed by a hungover feast at their pub across the road, The Potting Shed.
