The Luxury London Based Wedding Florists To Know
With London playing host to an abundance of decadent hotels, restaurants and lavish events and weddings, it’s no surprise that some of the country’s best florists have set up shop in the capital city. But whilst they may be based there, these florists are known to travel all the over the country and to far flung destinations to make a couple’s dream florals a rather beautiful reality.

McQueens
As one of the world’s most respected floral design companies with bases in London, New York and Seoul and a prime location within Claridge’s hotel, the bar is set high with McQueens. They’re also well known for their high end floristry courses if you fancy trying your hand at wedding flowers, or alternatively they make for a fun and fruitful hen party idea.
As the floral design partner for Wimbledon, their flowers are colourful, bountiful and feel really glamorous in style.

Petalon Flowers
Founded by Florence Kennedy, an architecture student who turned her hand to flowers, Petalon Flowers embraces fresh seasonal stems that are wild in style. By combining flowers with her and her husband’s shared love of cycling (he has a bicycle manufacturing business), they aim to create a company that combines good value florals with environmentally friendly attributes and transport.
Their flowers can be found in the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Time Out and the Evening Standard, with a style that is alternative and laid back.

Philippa Craddock
More recently famed as the florist that created the floral displays for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding (remember that breathtaking archway at St George’s Chapel in Windsor?), Philippa Craddock is a well known name in the industry, having worked with Dior, Bvlgari and the V & A to name just a few, creating both beautiful and striking displays.
Elizabeth Young, Head of Events at the Historic Royal Palaces captures Philippa’s style well when she explains that “she has an intuitive sense of nature, capturing its patterns and irregularities to create breathtaking designs. She also has exquisite taste – ‘the Audrey Hepburn of florists’’.
As a brand they are eco conscious, avoiding the use of florist foam and ensuring they work with local growers and fair trade farms.

Jam Jar Flowers
What started as a penchant for collecting wild flowers from the Sussex woods and placing them in jam jars, the owner and former model Melissa Richardson was inspired to bring the concept to life in the form of her company, Jam Jar Flowers.
Designing natural and elegant tablescapes, arrangements and installations, Jam Jar Flowers aim to celebrate the best of every season whilst also tailoring the designs to their client’s taste and style.
Their approach is wild and beautiful, with a good even mix of florals and foliage to give that more foraged look.

Rebel Rebel
Created by Mairead and Athena in 2000, Rebel Rebel’s team have collectively created an award winning florist that is well known for it’s flamboyant blooms.
Rebel Rebel is an ideal option for any couple that is after an alternative take on the traditional wedding. They make the experience of picking flowers with them as fun and as simple as possible, whilst also ensuring their clients get everything they want and more.
They buy their flowers and foliage from New Covent Garden Flower Market every morning, with the flowers being mostly seasonal and where they can, often British.

Hayford and Rhodes
Beginning their life as William Hayford, a heritage luxury florist that was the first in the city to deliver flowers on a large scale, they quickly picked up a high profile following that included Winston Churchill, the Queen Mother and the Mayor of London.
Since then, the company has been taken over by the three sisters Joanna, Amy and Laura, to become Hayford and Rhodes.
As the leading force of the brand, Joanna’s creative experience as a fine artist and down to earth personality has created a brand that is design led whilst also feeling really approachable.
In their weddings and events, they aim to never replicate the same design twice and will sit down with their clients to sketch and mood board ideas until they get their perfect vision.

Simon Lycett
Known as the royal florist, it’s fair to say Simon Lycett is in the crème de le crème of florists, with his impressive designs and a lovely personality to boot. He has an international reputation as one of Britain’s finest florists, pushing artistic boundaries to take florals to breathtaking levels.
His arrangements are spectacular regardless of the scale of the wedding or event, from intimate dinner parties to well, royal weddings.

From glamorous to whimsical and English garden in style, Mary Jane Vaughan and her team can cover a variety of different styles. Buying exclusively from New Covent Garden Flower Market, they commit to always buying British grown wherever possible and have good eco-friendly and sustainability credentials.

Wildabout
At Wildabout, their mission is to create innovative and beautiful floral designs using the finest quality flowers and it’s fair to say, the results are pretty spectacular.
From creating glamorous displays and their renowned floral backdrops to more loose, wild or tropical arrangements, they can be really adaptable to your style and the aesthetic of your wedding.

Scarlet and Violet
With a shop featuring mismatch china and vintage finds of the owners, the tone is set straight away for Scarlet and Violet’s gorgeous fresh country approach to flowers.
Using seasonal blooms where they can and shopping through New Covent Garden Flower Market and independent growers, their florals have a British countryside, friendly and approachable feeling to them.
Often completing two to three weddings in one weekend with budgets ranging from a few hundred pounds to several thousands, they are very much demand.

Hiding in the City
Run by florist Sarah Loughrey-Jennings, Hiding in the City Flowers was created because she felt there was a demand for alternative, unstructured and beautiful flowers for weddings and events.
Her florals celebrate nature and the seasons and embrace a more naturalistic floral aesthetic. The designs have real edge and flair, with interesting colour matches, unexpected textures and florals used.

Setting up his first flower shop at the age of just seventeen, Canadian Ronny Colbie brings florals to London that are inspired by his lush and scenic home country.
